Riders

My grandfather used to have a saying about “fast horses and faster women…” As a boy, I never understood.
Rollin’ Another Summer

Work hard. Play harder. Chill when you can.
The Best Man

Dan has been a climbing and skiing partner of mine from the early days of my living in Salt Lake City. Nobody I know has ever been as motivated as this guy to get out and do something cool in the mountains. We used to spend a lot of time climbing rock and ice as well as skiing in the backcountry of Utah. When Becky and I married in 1999, he was my Best Man.
Dan later moved away from Salt Lake and I eventually lost track of him. Fortunately, he has now returned and is back to the mountains with a vengeance. Little Superior Peak, Cardiac Ridge, Silver Fork Bowl and Big Ideas on the Horizon, we are wasting no time in picking up where we left off some years ago. Welcome back my brother!

Jan and his girlfriend Nina came all the way from Germany to try some Utah powder snow…
I think they liked it.
New Years Day

Today, I took Andrei skiing for his first time up at Alta. I can’t believe how tough this kid is… We skied for nearly 2-hours and 15-20 runs on the rope tow in heavy wind and blowing snow and this boy never wanted to stop. I felt like I was bringing a wolf back to the wilderness.
